Bevar kildene dine. Utvid forståelsen.

Et kompakt sted for referanser, lesenotater og gjennomgåtte sitater.

Samle, organiser, les og skriv med kildene ved din side.

Full app planned. The private research inbox is in restricted testing; these fictional design concepts show the wider library, reader and citation experience being planned.

A growing library should stay easy to read.

Start with the familiar three-pane research layout: collections and tags on the left, a compact reference table in the centre, and full metadata, abstract and attachments on the right. Tabs keep your reading and notes close.

This desktop concept shows 24 reference rows, two expanded children and 24 metadata fields. Resizable panes, configurable columns, keyboard navigation and per-library layout preferences are planned.

From a useful source to a clearer idea.

See more of your library.

Keep collections, dense reference rows and complete selected-item details in a compact, resizable three-pane workspace.

Organise without making copies.

Use nested collections, coloured tags and saved searches. A source can belong in several collections while remaining one reference.

Collect, then review.

Plan identifier lookup, browser capture and BibTeX/RIS imports with metadata checks and duplicate review before committing changes.

Read with your sources close.

Keep PDFs, notes, highlights, source locations and related items together. Return from a note to the passage that prompted it.

Write with traceable references.

Plan editable citations, CSL-style choices and dynamic bibliographies in SoraDocs, with supported external-editor workflows qualified separately.

Make shared knowledge deliberate.

Keep personal libraries private and choose access for a workgroup library, course reading list or collaborative bibliography.

Choose local or cloud storage.

The plan includes device-local and selected cloud locations, clear sync controls, recovery information and reviewed storage changes.

Connect writing and research.

Collect approved My writing and Journal publication metadata into SoraResearch. The private inbox is in testing; full library workflows are planned.

Keep your work portable.

Plan reviewed reference import/export, bibliography output and a supported Zotero connection, with clear permissions and conflict handling.

Read, highlight and develop your own notes.

Keep quotations distinguishable from your interpretation, with source links and page locations. A connected reader should make returning to the original straightforward.

Observing everyday places

Research notes become more useful when observations stay linked to the source that prompted them.

Keep a quotation, its page location and your own interpretation together. The reader concept pairs the document with highlights and notes in the same workspace.

This fictional excerpt illustrates reading and annotation. It is not a published article or evidence for a real research claim.

From reading to synthesis

Compare sources, record disagreements and return to the original passage while developing an argument.

Bring a reviewed reference into your writing.

Find a source, choose a locator and citation style, and review the result in context. Maintain a bibliography as the document develops, with explicit checks for missing metadata.

Understanding shared public spaces

Observations can be connected to the material that informed them (Example & Taylor, 2025, p. 46).

Keep the source and locator available as the document changes, and review each citation before sharing.

Capture knowledge without losing the details.

Scholarly articles, preprints, news, library books and reports need different metadata. Review item type, creators, dates, identifiers and attachments before saving; compare possible duplicates without silently replacing your notes.

Choose where your library lives

On this device

Planned local metadata, notes and selected attachments. Device storage and recovery controls still require testing.

Cloud · selected storage location

Planned authorised access across devices. Storage choices, limits, sync conflicts and backup behaviour will be shown clearly.

Changing a location should be a reviewed move with a verified complete copy. It should not silently delete the original library.

Abstract

A fictional field journal of observations, photographs and shared places.

Read PDFNotesCite
Planned drill-down flow: library → reference → reader, with a clear route back.

A research workflow that stays connected.

  1. Collect a reference from a reviewed import, identifier lookup, browser capture or published writing.
  2. Organise it with collections, tags and saved searches; review duplicate or incomplete records.
  3. Read the source, retain useful passages and develop notes with clear provenance.
  4. Write with reviewed citations and bibliography output in supported document workflows.
  5. Share only the library, bibliography or published work you authorise.

A few practical questions.

Is SoraResearch available now?

The full reference-library app is planned. A restricted private collection inbox is being tested. These mockups do not provide a working reader, connector or citation engine.

Is it Zotero?

SoraResearch is an original SoraSpace product concept with a familiar compact research layout. Supported Zotero interoperability is planned. This page does not claim a partnership, copy Zotero artwork or connect an account.

Can I keep a library on my own device?

Device-local metadata, notes and selected attachments are in the plan alongside cloud storage choices. Browser/device support, recovery, migration and sync must be verified before those options are offered.

Will it work with Word, LibreOffice and Google Docs?

Those interoperability workflows are planned, with separate compatibility checks. SoraDocs citation and bibliography integration is also planned; no working document plug-in is offered by this page.

Can I bring an existing research library?

Reviewed reference imports, attachment handling and bibliography export are planned. Supported formats and preservation of custom fields will be confirmed before release.
